Reactor Fuzz Pedal
This is a smooth, symmetrical clipping fuzz, with a powerful
filter
fuzz pedal with excellent dynamics
It has true bypass
It has two controls
Filter & output level
With the filter control you can tune into those classic
mids, which gives you ‘crunch’ tone, through mid range
‘honk’ sounds to thick ‘creamy’ fuzz tones
The output level speaks for itself
This will work perfectly on a 9 volt battery, for
hours, but you do have the option of running a regulated
pedal supply, 9 volt negative center, the pedal is switched
on by inserting the jack lead into input.

Mosquito
A New Effects pedal From Alan Exley
The Mosquito Octave Up Fuzz
A unique Octave up fuzz, on which there is a blend control,
one side is pure fuzz the other side is octave up, so you
can blend the two, the other knob is level control. There is
also a switch which is ‘mosquito’ or ‘swarm’. This a gain
setting switch, one side gives an overdrive type setting,
which if you play close to the bridge, you can get pseudo
sitar type sounds, the other side is a pure sustain.
Mosquito features…
True bypass.
Level control
Blend for octave fuzz
Gain setting switch for mosquito or swarm
Power input socket, 9 volt negative center [standard]
Playing tips and techniques are….If you are using neck pick
up, around the 12th fret, this works well, if using bridge
pick up you can play close to the bridge, try playing in
different areas around each pick up. Also you are probably
aware that for best octave sounds, hit the notes accurately
and try not to hit adjacent strings as you are playing.
Power chords usually work best between open strings and down
to about the 8th fret, these tips will start you off, Just
experiment.

Magneto Fuzz
This is a smooth, symmetrical clipping fuzz
It is a hybrid Germanium & Silicon fuzz; it has a
negative earth, so is compatible with modern day pedal power
supplies.
It uses Germanium for soft clipping & Silicon for better
gain & stability.
Temperature changes will not affect the sound of this pedal,
like the old Germanium boxes.
It has drive control & level control, true bypass, there
is an EQ switch in the middle, this is compensation on the
output, it can be subtle on some amps, but choose a setting
that you feel is suitable for your sound.
This will work perfectly on a 9 volt battery, for hours, but
you do have the option of running a regulated pedal
supply,(9 volt negative center) the pedal is switched on by
inserting the jack lead into input. (so, do remember to
unplug)

Germanium Pre Amp
Germanium pre amps were the most influential preamps for
guitar in the 1960’s most were originally designed as treble
boosters, to give treble that the amplifiers of the time
would not deliver; many were modified for more gain &
mid range. They gave an uncompressed natural overdrive with
good high to mid range harmonics & headroom.
In 2003 there was a surge on the boutique pedal market when
the Rangemaster was remade, along with many germanium fuzz
pedals. I was there at the time, with my Sonic Ranger pedal
& Britt Boost pedal.
The late Gary Moore used the sonic ranger for live
work & recording, which were marketed by Burford
Electronics from which I obtained great profile as a
boutique pedal manufacturer.

The Sonic Ranger -Treble
Booster
Hand-built in the heart of England by Alan Exley
A germanium transistor treble boost - This is a clone of the
1960's Rangemaster, one of the most influential pedals ever
produced. This is renowned to be the sweetest treble boost
ever made and was used for two reasons - one, to give extra
cutting edge for rhythm playing and second, to drive the
front end of tube amplifiers.
The people who used this type of booster, were Eric Clapton,
Brian May, Richi Blackmore, Rory Gallagher, Dave Gilmore,
and many other English guitarists to push their tube
amplifiers into creamy distortion with overtones. The result
of the rangemaster into a good tube amplifier is evident on
the Bluesbreakers ‘beano’ recording [into a JTM45] and the
first 2 Black Sabbath albums [into a Laney stack]
Its features are
• The use of selected Germanium transistor
circuitry
• True bypass - will not affect your
guitars natural voicing when off
• Set or level control- to give the
correct amount of level between bypass & boost
• Very low battery drain
• On the e.q. Boost selector switch one
position is the classic Rangemaster sound. The other
position is mid boost, this modification was done to the
Rangemaster to act as a boost to overdrive tube amps. Toni
Iommi in the early Black Sabbath used a modified
Rangemaster.
Please note there may be some slight noise on the set or
level control, when adjusting between 6 and 10, this is not
a fault with the pot or circuit, this is the way the output
level is controlled where DC voltage meets AC voltage, this
noise is only present when the control is turned and is not
present when the control is stationary.

Rangemaestro treble
booster
This Effects pedal is a clone of the Dallas Arbiter
Rangemaster.
On the front are, Input socket, set control [level]
& bypass/boost switch
On the back, there is an output socket, the battery holder
& a mid boost switch,
(This is used to give more middle.)
This is the original Rangemaster circuit using
[Grade A selected] Germanium Transistors, hence the low
noise.
The signal to noise ratio is excellent,
Uses a 9 volt battery with extremely low drain
& It is only switched on when the input jack is
inserted.
This is an excellent treble booster with the option of
Increasing the mid slightly.
I have supplied four of these pedals to Mr. Billy. F.
Gibbons of ZZ Top
The Rangemaster was the one which Rory Gallagher, Tony
Iommi, Brian May, Eric Clapton, Dave Gilmore & Jeff Beck
[Just to name a few people]
Used for its legendary sound. |

Tuned Filter System
The T.F.S will filter out the mid-range and make your
humbuckers give great single coil sounds. Single coils
will give funky type sounds, even to a slight
electro-acoustic edge ~ With easy fit instructions
The system is great for turning these humbuckers into
single coil sounds (better than coil-tapping). The
bandwidth leans itself over to more of a lead style of
playing

NEW PRODUCT Livewire ST- Tone mod for
Stratocasters
This new module is completely passive and updates your
Stratocaster's tone and volume controls - with easy fit
instructions. This will give you linear response,
calibrate your volume control - in other words, no more
treble loss or uneven volume control. First tone control
will act as master treble filter for pitch ups with no
"muddy dump" at one end. Tone control 2 will act as a
mid-range filter for all pick ups to give extra funky
sounds to "acousticy" style voicing. Both of these tone
controls will interact for extra tonal variations.
